The U.S. Department of Education Demonstration Grant for Indian Children and Sealaska Heritage Foundation
in partnership with the Juneau School District fund our classroom.
The Mission of this classroom is to:
- Develop a quality Tlingit-English bilingual/bicultual education program for grades K-2 with an emphasis on language and reading skills.
- Pilot the bilingual/bicultural education plan, standards, and curriculum through implementation phases for grades K-1.
- Conduct an extensive evaluation and disseminate results of impacted Native student success.
